Racism is open

• I`m a South African with an asian identity who has been to Dubai at least seven times on business,and never on any occasion enjoyed the city for the reason that the local Arabs were the most arrogant that I`ve experienced from the rest of the world that I`ve travelled.Although we are a country with the freshest democracy,the people here still have a lot of respect for other colour or races eventhough the U.S. will portray a different picture(really no offence).The Arabs there consider everyone inferior but will succumb to any white person and will give them the utmost respect.I don`t dislike white people and I`m only expressing what I`ve experienced there.This,however,in my opinion does not answer your question as to why the family did not accept you because of colour but the main reason there was probably of religion and they also would prefer someone of Arab origin.
