if you have a job offer, no problem. If you don't, you need to be a landed immigrant in order to have the right to work here.
It is like catch 22, because in 99.99% of the cases, nobody will give you a job offer in Canada if you do not have the job permit in the first place. That said, under exceptional situations, some individuals with extremely rare skills (or in high demand like it is now in Alberta with the oil boom, or university professors/researchers), they may get an offer and even do all the job permit paperwork on your behalfAnonymous 14 Apr 2006, 07:06 - Report
