CAIPS Files

  • Any one here ever wondered about the status of your application?..all of us of course!
There is a form called the CAIPS files.

CAIPS is an acronym for Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System. It is part of the Electronic Data Processing (EDP) system used by the Canadian Immigration offices to process visa applications.

Has anyone ever heard of this or used it before? From what ive read its pretty detailed info about where your application has reached.

  • CAIPS - my two cents...

They charge you between 20 and 50 British pounds to let you know that your file is "in process" and perhaps lets you know something about two weeks before you see it in the letter Citizenship & Immigration Canada sends you. So.. I do not know when this is worth. I used it and quite honestly I do not think it is worrth

  • CAIPS http://www.caips.ca/ a positive opinion

Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System (CAIPS)

The CAIPS system was a blessing. My immigration process took 2 full years and CAIPS told me where the process was in every step of the way. It even saved me time in the process since my application got to a halt due to a health problem that I finally solved in my home country. So, if you have the fifty British pounds, go for it. You are already spending over $1,000, in fees alone (including the landing fee), so fifty pounds in a process that will change your life were totally worth it for me.
