backpacking

I'm backpacking around Europe for a few months, starting in July. Would like to be a little more original than just following what the guide books say. Will be in Uk for at least a month. Might even stay much longer. Cld someone please tell me about any special places off the beaten-track in the UK? I love you all. Elisa
