Uk registered cars in the Netherlands

• Please can someone help me. My name is Wayne Baker and I live in the UK. I am interested in buying a Volvo from off someone on E-Bay who lives in the Netherlands, he told me that he bought the car from the UK and is UK registered but since getting the car home he has been told that he can't register a right hand drive uk car in the Netherlands. Is this true?? If anybody knows the laws with regards to uk registered cars in the Nehterlands then please mail me back at [email removed] Thank you

  I do not know the answer.
  But the government agency that deals with these matters is the Rijksdienst voor het Wegverkeer.
