"Auslandsemester" in Mexico

• Hi!
  
  I study Social Work in Germany, and I want to do an "Auslandsemester". I could have gone to Scotland, but I was scared of the rain!!! Now I want to study in Mexico. But I need to know, when the summer semester starts in Mexican universities? When does it last to?
  
  If anyone knows, that would be AWESOME!

  The summer semester in Mexico goes from the middle of august till the end of november.

  Really, August-November? I have a friend who studies at a Mexican university and I am sure his Summer Semester was the end of February to September... or something like that. Maybe they vary between the different universities in Mexico... or maybe what course you do..??!

  uuups...yes of course! I mixed up summer and winter (I definitely work too much xD).
  But I'm quite sure the WINTER semester is from August-November.
  Could be that summer semester starts in February but 8 months till September would be a little too long for a half a year

  Hi Babs,
  The dates will vary slightly depending on the specific program and the school you attend. For most universities the summer semester will start in August and end in the first or second week of December. Classes will end in November but you will have a couple of weeks for finals.

  hi, im mexican and no, the semesters last from august to fifth of dicember ,then another option is from january till sixteen of may , there still another option wich is makin a sumer program that most of the universities has and las six weeks from june till midle july.
  
  you could check out UDLA, IBERO , Tec de Monterrey in puebla thats a very nice city and there are lots of good universities.

  A friend of mine studied one year in Puebla. First she chose a private university: La Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla (UIAP). It has a good reputation abroad. But after some months she changed to La Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), a public university.
  
  She told that students were so snobbish at the Ibero, she couldn´t stand it any longer. In México this kind of people is called "fresa". Probably you won't find the "real" and likeable mexicans in the upper class. Better try a public one!
