If your parent has a permanent visa is very easy to come to you, you have to go to the authorities for information, take some time, less than 1 years

  • Familiennachzug

Familiennachzug is the term used to refer to the right to bring the family to Germany if one is already resident in the country.

EU citizens working in Germany can bring their families, including spouse, children under 21 years, parents and grandparents, if they have sufficient financial means to support themselves. This right also applies to those family members who are not EU citizens. Relatives do not require a work permit to be hired.

Non-EU citizens with permanent residence or temporary can bring children under 18 years, in some cases spouses and other relatives. The Familiennachzug only be obtained when certain requirements are met, such as the size of the dwelling and a person's ability to keep dependents.
