Unemployment Compensation

• My son-in-law lives in Switzerland - I live in the U.S. About 7 years ago he lost his job and collected unemployment from the state. He now tells me that he has to pay this money back plus interest. He wants me to send him the money. IS THIS TRUE? Does he have to pay back the money.
