Sharing my success!, now you can find a job in the Netherlands!

  • Hi Peeps,

I have been looking on this site and many different sites in my endless search to find a good job in the Netherlands (as I don’t speak Dutch! it was a bit of a challenge!)

But alas I found a job in Amsterdam!

I thought I’d give you guys some tips, to share my success in finding a job in the Netherlands.

1st of all make sure your name is out in the market! place your CV's on all the job sites!, you don’t speak Dutch?.. not a problem most sites are self explanatory and there are some dedicated Expatiate job sites out their

I used Monsterboard.nl, Totaljobs.nl and multilingualcareers.eu I placed my CV and started getting the calls! Multilingualcarees got me the job, as I only speak English and some German, it was a relief to find an only Multilingual site where companies were specifically searching for non Duchies like ME!

I found a native English job!

    The links:
    www.monsterboard.nl
    www.Totaljobs.nl
    www.multilingualcareers.eu

Once you get invited to an interview,

Make sure you dress to impress at your interview! you never have a second chance for a first impression!

Listen carefully to the interviewer and don’t talk over them, Ask questions and talk in a question form. for example, how long have you worked at company xxx..... how have you seen the company progress in the xx years you have been here?.

Mirror the interviewer! sit as they sit!

Once the interview is over thank them, ask them for their business card and don’t forget to close them on a feedback time.

Now that you have their business card call them a few days after to express you interests for the company (don’t stalk!)

I hope this was a help to you job seekers out their, and if you are looking for a job using your languages i recommend you to put your CV upon www.Multilingualcareers.eu

Would be nice to share your success post them here!

    Regards Dave.
